Reviews
Jack Canfield, author of the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, has spent years studying what makes successful people different. In this highly motivational book, illustrated by lots of real-life success stories, he shares what he has discovered. He begins by taking us through the 24 fundamentals of success, starting with taking 100% responsibility for our lives. Then he identifies the common obstacles to success - negative attitudes, an over-active inner critic, limiting beliefs and so on - and shows us how easy it is to remove them. Next we learn to build our success team, focusing on the importance of honesty and appreciation. A whole section is devoted to success and money - giving as well as receiving it! - and Jack tops the whole lot off with advice on empowering yourself by empowering others. His understanding and passionate enthusiasm for the process of freeing your full potential will have you itching to get started (Cygnus Books)
I bought this book to follow up on the ideas in The Secret. In the first part of this book Jack covers discovering your life purpose, manifesting what you want, affirmations etc. He then goes on to give practical advice about how to achieve your goals, whatever they may be - making money, finding a relationship, improved health, weight loss etc. I particularly enjoyed making my list of 101 things I want to do before I die. The first 25 were easy, the next 25 required a bit of thought, but by the time I got to the last 25 I was really having to think. I came up with lots of dreams that I didn't even know I had.
