What are Hopi Ear Candles? They are a hollow tube, made from cotton, impregnated with beeswax
and therapeutic oils. They were originally used by the Native American
Indians, the Hopi.
What is a Hopi Ear Candles session like? The treatment is done with the client fully clothed, lying down.
The first part of the treatment is the burning of the candles in the ear.
The client lies on their side as each ear is treated individually. The
candle is lit and as it burns it gently draws out and burns impurities
and wax from the ear. Sometimes some wax residue is found in the candle
at the end of the treatment. Each candle burns for about 10 minutes and
as it burns there is a crackling sound and a warm comfortable feeling.
The final part of the treatment is a relaxing facial massage focusing
on the acupressure points on the face including the ears.

stress relief it can help such conditions as sinusitis, rhinitis, hay
fever, balancing inner ear problems, tinnitus, headaches, migraines,
ear wax, hearing difficulties, meunieres disease. It is not suitable
where there is any ear infection, for perforated eardrums or where
grommets are in place. It is an excellent alternative to ear syringing.
