Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Its use is not dependent on one's intellectual capacity or spiritual development and therefore is available to everyone.

The concept of a "share" is for practitioners to participate in giving and receiving Reiki in a atmosphere of friendship and love. Participating in a share is a beneficial way of honoring one another as healers. Reiki Shares are also commonly referred to as "Reiki Circles." One person lays on a table and the participating practitioners gather around the person laying hands upon him/her facilitating a massive flow of reiki energies. Group energies are often very strong and can be more deepening than individual sessions. It is a wonderful and often profound experience!

A Reiki Share is a gathering of Reiki Practitioners who join together for a combination social/healing session. It can last anywhere from 3-4 hours. The concept of a "share" is for practitioners to participate in giving and receiving Reiki in a atmosphere of friendship and love. Participating in a share is a beneficial way of honoring one another as healers. Reiki Shares are also commonly referred to as "Reiki Circles." A share consists of many healing hands on one person at a time. One person lays on a table and the participating practitioners gather around the person laying hands upon him/her facilitating a massive flow of reiki energies. Group energies are often very strong and can be more deepening than individual sessions. It is a wonderful and often profound experience!

Then consider attending a Reiki Share at Studio Psalm. A Reiki Share is an opportunity for those attuned to any level of reiki to give and receive wonderful healing energies. When working in group, the energies can be magnified many times over. It's a great chance to ask those questions you've perhaps had for a while about giving reiki to yourself and others, to compare your experiences with one another, and to relax and unwind during the session. Each week, a topic of discussion is raised followed by a wonderfully powerful meditation to clear and align the group. Then it's a case of reiki on!
